San Antionio – Sant Antoni de Portmany

January 20th, 2015 No comments

San Antonio is the main attraction of the island. The city is located near the famous beaches (Cala Bassa, Cala Tarida …) and San Antonio hosts two nightclubs (ES paradis and Eden).

Passeig de la Mar

This is the promenade around the bay of San Antoni (Badia Portamny). This is nice to walk there at night. At one end of the walk is Sa Punta de Moli (where an old mill remains) and the other is the center of San Antonio, with a splendid fountain that qualifies its movements with the music played on the public site .

Santa Eularia – Santa Eulalia del Río

January 12th, 2015 No comments

Santa Eulalia is located on the eastern coast of the island of Ibiza. The name Santa Eulalia Des Riu came from the only river of the island. But for years and years, no water in it.

Compared to Ibiza and Sant Antoni, Santa Eulalia is characterized by its quiet environment. This small tourist station is so far from noisy places such as bars and nightclubs

Location: 10 minutes drive from Playa d’en Bossa or Ibiza Town
Facilities: sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants, bars, massage, beach boutiques, shop, lockers, showers, lifeguards, beach safety
Activities: pedal boats, electric boats, catamaran rental, diving school
Size: 1.5 kilometers long, 25-30 meters wide.

The name of the salt lakes in the south of Ibiza, Playa de Las Salinas is the southernmost tip of the island and the most popular among celebrities … especially footballers!

The very long, wide crescent of pale sand beach, surrounded by pine forests. The water is crystal clear with super breakers that appear on windy days, perfect for body- surf. Good for adventure walks as the surrounding terrain is Wildlife Conservation Area Ibiza.

During the summer months, Las Salinas is the ‘in’ beach not only for the rich and beautiful people, but also for the party scene. Bikini fashion tend to reveal more than they cover up, and sun worshipers here are more than a match for the Baywatch beauties. The nearest town is Salinas is the Playa d’en Bossa, where you can find some great hotels on the beach.
Beachlife

The most exclusive summer music playing all day bars and serve cocktails directly to your sun bed! The atmosphere and the beautiful beach more than compensate for the generous prices. Towards the end of the bay, nudists, families, hippies and party kings and queens dance and chill-out to the wonderful sounds all day. Pure summer feeling … no wonder it is a very popular beach!

Tip: If you have the energy, walk towards the watchtower. In the off season is a great walk to blow the cobwebs and you can go back through the woods. In the summer months you will discover small coves dotted along the rocky part of the coast. You may even find your own private beach!

salidas

Facilities: variety of restaurants and bars, so if you’re on a budget best bet is to take a packed lunch or eat at the cafe bars along the road at the end of the beach. In summer lifeguards.

Directions: rental car, bicycles (beware of traffic!), Or bus from Ibiza town (10 km) or Playa d’en Bossa (6 km). Now there is paid parking here. In high season, the main street is clogged with parked cars as people try and park for free. However, the parking fee (left at the roundabout) has good facilities with covered parking spaces.
